Toys Interesting for Your Cat

How to Keep Your Catnip Toys Interesting for Your Cat

If you're like most cat owners, you love buying your kitty new toys to keep them entertained. And what could be more fun for a cat than a toy that smells like their favorite herb? Catnip is a non-addictive drug that induces a state of euphoria in cats. While all cats are attracted to catnip, some are more sensitive to it than others. If your cat gets bored of their catnip toys quickly, don't worry – we have some tips and tricks to help keep them interested!

I. Use the catnip bags

Those beautiful Bloire bags have a use after all, and when it’s not to protect the accessories, it’s to make them fun again! Here’s how to renew your cat’s interest in his toy. Just put the toy back in the bag it came in, add a little bit of catnip, and shake it up. Let it sit for a few hours so the smell can really imprint on the toy, and then take it out again. Your kitty is in for an exciting treat!

II. Lost & found

If you have noticed that your cat's interest in their catnip toy has started to wane, there is an easy way to remedy this. Simply hide the toy away for a few days and then bring it back out. It will be like having a new toy all over again and your cat will be excited to play with it. So, the next time your cat seems bored with their toys, try this simple trick and they'll be entertained in no time.

III. Play with them

If you mostly let your cat play alone with his toy, this is a great way to spike their interest again. If you want to get your cat playing again, the best way is by moving their toy around or playing fetch with them. Cats are predators and so they are attracted to any movement. By moving the toy around, you are simulating the movement of prey, which will excite your cat and get them playing again in no time. This is a great way to spend quality time with your cat and keep their toys appealing to them.

So there you have it - our top tips for keeping your cat entertained with their catnip toys. If all of this fails, and kitty is still bored with her old faves, it might be time to invest in some new Bloire toys. And don't forget to stock up on fresh catnip so they can keep enjoying those toys long after the novelty has worn off!
